Holt Pre-school opens its doors

April, 2025 |

A new community pre-school has just opened in Holt, Wiltshire. Built using the PH15 System and RapidRoot foundation piles, the school is designed to accomodate 28 pupils and 5 staff. The new school replaces a building which had reach the end of its useful life and offered the school no opportunity to expand its pupil numbers to meet local needs.

Using the RapidRoot piles minimised the number of large lorry movements to and from the school site which it shares with Holt V.C. Primary School, reducing the amount of earth removed and eliminating the need for concrete deliveries.

The piles can also be used close to trees without affecting their roots which meant the new school could be kept close to the site boundary maximising the amount of play space.
